Gateway to della falls

Della Falls Water Taxi is a family run business owned and operated out of Great Central Lake. We are fully insured, permitted through British Columbia Parks, and are compliant with all Transport Canada's safety regulations.

The Della Falls trail head, located in Strathcona Provincial park, is strictly accessible by water only from Great Central Lake. 

We offer a water taxiing service that loads and unloads hikers from the Great Central Lake RV resort & marina and transports them 42 kilometers down the lake to the Della Falls trail head. The boat ride takes about 55 minutes one way. This is a round trip service, we will meet the hikers back at the trail head on their predetermined completion date. 

Our typical operating season is from May 15th to September 15th

*TRAIL AND WEATHER CONDITION DEPENDING*

We operate out of the Great Central Lake RV resort & Marina. Located at 11000 Central Lake Road. Head west out of Port Alberni on Highway #4 and after roughly 12 kilometers, turn right onto Central Lake Road. Proceed 8 kilometers and pass through the buildings and tanks that belong to the Robertson Creek Fish Hatchery. About 100 meters further you will come to a "T" intersection where the pavement ends and the entrance to the resort is straight ahead. 

*PARKING*

There is no parking inside the resort. Once you reach the "T" intersection and spot the entrance sign, turn around and park along side the main or gravel road. There is also a gravel lot on the right hand side of the main road you're welcome to park in. It's just a 2 min walk from there to the marina where you will meet your taxi guide. 

PRICES (ROUND TRIP)

• 1-2 people - $205.00 each

• Groups of 3-5 people - $180.00 each ( same party/booking ) 

• Kids 12 years old and under - $100.00 each

• Pets - $50.00 each ( please specify weight on booking form)

• Seniors 65 and older receive a 15% discount

• Add 5% GST to all above prices

• 50% cancellation fee collected on ALL cancellations made before the 7 day mark to scheduled departure date

• ZERO refund if cancelled within the week of scheduled departure date 

• option to move dates to later in the season may be possible- please email to discuss 

• refunds will be sent via e-transfer 

Payment methods 

All payments are processed on our online payment system attached to the invoice

• 1. EFT ( Secure bank transaction done through our billing app ) similar to E-transfer.

  2. All major credit cards

      **FULL PAYMENT AT THE TIME OF BOOKING IS REQUIRED TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT**

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

• full payment is required to reserve spots upon booking

• 50% cancellation fee collected on ALL cancellations made before the 7 day mark to scheduled departure date

• ZERO refund if cancelled within the week of scheduled departure date 

• the maximum amount of hikers we are legally able to take is 5 ; we are unable to accommodate any parties larger that 5 in one boat. Parties 6+ will have to be split into multiple trips
